CSU picks e-Learning chief

Professor Sandra Wills has been announced as Charles Sturt University’s pro-vice chancellor, student learning. The newly created senior role will focus on e-technologies. Wills has 40 years of international experience in education and technology to draw upon. She is an international researcher and author on educational innovation. She has delivered more than 120 invited and keynote addresses in 22 countries. Her work has been recognised with an Australian Learning and Teaching Council citation for strategic leadership in global e-Learning. She is a fellow of the Australian Computer Society and of the Australian Council for Computers in Education and was awarded with a Silver Core from the International Federation for Information Processing. She is also an Open Learning Network Fellow of the Open University in the UK. Her most recently co-authored book involved more than 10 years of research about learning designs and online role-play. Her most recent grant is for international benchmarking on recognition of teaching in academic promotion.
