  1. Another issue is how to motivate the use of active learning spaces. The original motivation to attend lectures was that this was the only way to ensure one passed the exams, and it has now been undercut by on-line ‘attendance.’ What changes do we need to make to teaching methods to motivate students to attend tutorials and other ‘active’ (?) learning sessions? And what changes to the physical facilities will these new approaches to teaching entail?
