Media firm wants to provide higher education
Concerns have been raised in the UK over fair access to internships after the publisher of The Guardian became the latest firm to express an interest in providing higher education. Guardian News and Media confirmed that it has spoken to several universities about the "possibility of becoming involved with their journalism courses", with a view to starting a course in September 2013.

Interesting perspective, Gavin. Are we to assume then that every reporter/writer for every publication is automatically pushing the agenda of their proprietor?

That would be stupid. But this is a report from one media company on a competitor’s media activities. A report by the Guardian – if it existed – should be read even more sceptically.
You are allowing no room in your arguement for standard journalistic approaches. It is a good story, and in journalism education the topic of interships does need to be addressed.
That would stand no matter who carried it.
