Afghan envoy praises Fulbringht scholars

Representatives of the Australian, Afghan and US governments have praised the 2012 Australian winners of Fulbright scholarships at a dinner in Sydney. Nasir Andisha, Afghanistan’s ambassador to Australia, is himself a former winner of the prestigious scholarship, established in the wake of World War Two by a US senator who hoped it would help promote greater cultural understanding and peace in the world.
