A leading expert in the development of new theories and models for construction project management, Professor Anil Sawhney joins the UTS School of Built Environment this semester. Formerly based in the USA, he was an associate professor at the Del E Webb School of Construction at Arizona State University, and more recently completed a two-year stint in India as Visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. In Arizona he co-founded the Housing Research Institute (HRI) that serves as a vehicle to lead the regional housing industry to embrace research, learning, and the adoption of innovation to improve the quality and affordability of housing. He worked as a consultant to the World Bank under the International Comparison Program from 2002 to 2006.
