Women outnumber and out-perform men

The feminisation of higher education is an international phenomenon. In almost every country in the OECD, more women than men attend universities. Now a new report from the UK has dug deeper, finding that women participate on an equal footing with men in the UK’s most elite universities and are over-represented in high-status subjects such as medicine and law.
