UA chair argues for legislative support for greater university autonomy

Professor Carolyn Evans used her address to the National Press Club to reflect on the value of the sector, both economically and culturally.

The chair of Universities Australia has argued for greater university independence and autonomy during an address to the National Press Club, asking what policy reform is necessary for institutions to fulfill their vital cultural role.
