Wright takes DVC job

Curtin University has appointed  Professor Graeme Wright as deputy vice-chancellor, research and development. Wright began his career at Curtin in 1991 as a lecturer in spatial sciences, before obtaining his PhD in the same discipline in 2000. In 2004, he was appointed head of spatial sciences where he guided the strategic directions of R&D and teaching and learning within the school. He has held senior roles at Curtin, including executive dean of the Faculty of Resources and Environment, and associate deputy vice-chancellor research training.  He has broad knowledge and experience in education and research, and engagement with higher education policy at strategic level. His new job will include the oversight of all research, research training, and commercialisation and knowledge transfer activities within the university.
