The University of Melbourne has appointed directors for two projects funded under the commonwealth government’s Super Science scheme. Associate Professor Glenn Moloney will lead National eResearch Collaboration Tools and Resources (NeCTAR), a $47 million four-year project to develop infrastructure for national eResearch collaborations and simplify the combined use of instruments, data, computing and analysis applications. Professor Robert Stimson will head the Australian Urban Research Infrastructure Network project, which will provide Australia’s urban researchers with access to a distributed network of data and information services.
