New dean for CQ health

CQUniversity has appointed Professor Andy Bridges as the dean of Health and Human Services. Spending the past 20 years in the UK’s midland region, he has a psychology background and has worked as a researcher on projects investigating the applications of cognitive psychology to the aircraft flight deck. This was done in conjunction with British Airways, Boeing and Airbus. After completing a PhD at the University of Wales, Cardiff, he took up a position as lecturer at Aston University, Birmingham. He moved to the University of Wolverhampton as a senior lecturer, and later principal lecturer, head of psychology and associate dean (T&L) in the School of Applied Sciences. His last UK posting was as associate dean in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at Coventry University where he was responsible for new developments and profile raising.
