New mathematics professor at UB

The University of Ballarat has appointed Professor David Gao as the new Alexander Rubinov Professor of Mathematics. Formerly of Virginia Tech in the US, Gao is a specialist in global optimisation, applied and computational mathematics and mechanics. He will take up his new position in Ballarat’s School of IT and Mathematical Sciences.
