Hilmer appointed to NSW innovation council

The NSW government has appointed Professor Fred Hilmer to its innovation council, which advises the government on economic and business-related strategies. Hilmer is vice-chancellor of UNSW and chair of the NSW Vice-Chancellors’ Committee. Prior to UNSW, Hilmer was CEO of John Fairfax Holdings from 1998 to 2005. Before that he was dean and director of the Australian Graduate School of Management at UNSW and director of Port Jackson Partners and McKinsey & Company.
