VSU yoga: pollies adopt uncomfortable positions

Student representatives and the online activist group GetUp – a thorn in the Howard Government’s side in the lead-up to the last federal election – don’t think the Rudd Government’s response to voluntary student unionism (VSU) gives enough say to students. But they want the Bill passed anyway. Meanwhile, backbench ALP senators want it changed to give students a greater say.
