Demand up as economy stumbles

Demand for 2009 university places across Australia is up, with the biggest increases in Victoria at 6.5 per cent and NSW at 5.1 per cent. WA has increased demand of 4.3 per cent, while SA’s demand is up by 2.3 per cent.
