Why do ten per cent of Australian students choose non-government (independent) institutions of higher education in preference to universities?

The analysis is flawed. I know many who couldn’t get into public medical places enter private institutions.
Many private institutions have flexible or no questions asked entry and assessments are open, negotiable and easy to complete. Have you ever heard fail rates in any private places, well that explains the quality ranking.
I disagree with the previous comment (Sev). Private providers can and do provide high quality education opportunities and do deliver in ways that support students well beyond the constraints that exist in the public sector today.
