Brendan McHugh has joined Charles Sturt University as the executive director information technology. McHugh will head a division that manages $28 million in funds annually and oversees 7500 email accounts, 4800 phones, 1200 computer laboratory and public access computers, while juggling 3000 video-conferencing room bookings each month. Prior to his appointment, McHugh was general manager IT with the Liquor Marketing Group in Sydney. He has also been Rebel Group’s chief information officer. He has also worked in Canada, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom. Notably, he is a member of the British Computer Society and a Chartered Information Technology Professional.
