Mr Terry Werner has been elected deputy chair of the AUQA board.

Werner is currently director of Higher Education and Legislative Review in the Western Australian Department of Education Services (DES), a portfolio that encompasses the school, VET and higher education sectors. He held various lecturing positions at Curtin University, the University of Melbourne and Melbourne State College.
