SA lecturer claims Hong Kong art gongs

University of South Australia lecturer David Blaiklock has edged out artists from 43 countries to claim two awards at the Hong Kong International Poster Triennial. Blaiklock was awarded the gold and bronze medals in the Act category – one of five categories – for two posters titled Wetlands and Green Shoots. He was one of only two Australians represented in the final shortlist of 190 posters, and is the first Australian to take a prize in the competition’s 12-year history. Blaiklock is co-ordinator of UniSA’s illustration design course.
