Monash appoints dean of science

An internationally renowned biologist who led the world-wide challenge to eradicate mosquito-borne disease has been appointed dean of Monash University’s Faculty of Science. Professor Scott O’Neill is currently head of the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Queensland. He previously held appointments at Yale University and the University of Illinois. He will take up his post in June 2011.
