Beattie links with UQ

Former Queensland Premier Peter Beattie will join the University of Queensland in an honorary capacity at two institutes that he helped found. Beattie has been made an adjunct professor in bioscience and nanotechnology with UQ’s Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN) and Institute for Molecular Bioscience (IMB). Beattie also currently holds a part-time position at Clemson University in South Carolina. He finished his term as Queensland trade and investment commissioner on 16 July. Both AIBN and IMB received seed funding from The Atlantic Philanthropies and the Queensland government.
