The University of the Sunshine Coast has appointed Professor Greg Hill as its new vice-chancellor and president. Hill has been USC’s deputy vice-chancellor since 2005. Hill began his career as a primary school teacher, before completing a BA in geography and a PhD in wildlife/statistical ecology at UQ, where he taught for 15 years. In 1995, Hill became foundation chair in tropical environmental science at CDU and was dean from 1997. While at CDU, he held various government appointments, including chair of the Northern Territory Board of Studies.
