EBA negotiations stumble as management hands out pay rises

At least five universities will pay management-initiated, non-union increases, ranging from 2.1 per cent to 4.5 per cent in 2009, while EBA negotiations across the sector stumble in a period of uncertainty in the lead-up to the Bradley review and turmoil on the world markets.
