  1. Great idea, this way it would fund more professionals in the field. The government has no clue saying how it would be a bad idea simply because of a slow down in the market. With professionals entering the market place without HECS-HELP debt in these selected fields would open them up for more possibilities instead of only working for someone else due to owing so much money. They could open up businesses themselves and employ MORE professionals in these fields without owing so much money could invest in start up businesses. I had this very conversation with a professional in the field today (myself being a student also) and he gave the exact same conclusion as above.
