Government’s proposed Religious Discrimination Bill leaves room for refusing to hire gay teachers

The Prime Minister’s Religious Discrimination Bill, which will allow room for religious schools to refuse to hire gay teachers, is “necessary” to protect people with faith from the “bots, bigots and bullies” of the “cancel culture”.

  1. If you don’t ascribe to a religious school’s beliefs, why bother studying or teaching there. Let’s not create issues and quarrels where there shouldn’t be any. Will the refusal of a labour party faithful to work in a liberal office be classified as discrimination? We must be reasonable and understand that we live in a multi-faith and belief society and must uphold, respect, and protect others the same way we would want them to do for us.
