Quality standards are a joke as long as our established universities prostrate themselves to the Chinese market. I don’t care how good research quality is when you have supposedly top-notch universities that admit students without proficient English and then dumb down standards in order to let them pass with unintelligible exam answers simply to avoid upsetting the Chinese revenue stream. If we are going to profess to care about whether we are selling a quality product, how about saying that you can’t be a university if you sell unearned degrees to the highest bidder?
