  1. I heartily agree. A little levity lightens the load. Humour as always been a part of my teaching because after reflection on my own education, on it became apparent that the most enjoyable classes were those where there had been an occasional joke and a refusal to be weighed down by unnecessary seriousness. Ideas are serious but they don’t have to be delivered in an atmosphere of unrelieved gloom to make us realise that.
