  1. Nice criticism. But… look at the job requirements (really random pick):

    DevOps Engineer – IBM Commerce 16843BR. Mandatory requirement: Bachelor’s degree (this means UNIVERSITY education).

    Apparently, it is not just the brand…

  2. Barely any IT jobs unless it is for a major old school out of date company (normally American based) are after a university degree. They are out of date by the time the student gets out. Hell most universities teaching IT degrees are out of date when the student begins.

    Most IT companies (good ones, fast growing) are with the latest language(s) and platforms, which are not being taught at uni.
