UniMelb debuts modern, green student accommodation in Carlton

The University of Melbourne has officially opened its newest residential facility, a 648-bed Student Village on Leicester Street in Carlton, shorter than a 10-minute walk from the main campus of the venerated institution.

  1. Yes, thanks so much Melbourne Uni for putting a 648 bed student accommodation across the street from my apartment. You could have built it somewhere on your extensive campus grounds, but no you had to build in right where normal people are trying to live. The extra noise, traffic and congestion are fantastic, thanks so much. I really enjoyed listening to all the yelling, screaming and drunken antic on the street outside during Oweek. Another clear indicator of a rich investor greasing the council palms with stuff all consideration for the people and suburb vibe of those who already live there
