Stop worrying and love the MOOC

  1. Georgia Tech is now offering a degree for $7000 via an online program, a component of which is MOOC-style delivery of some content. Examinations are arranged to be held locally. So, students in Australia can gain a degree from a well-credentialled US university for a much smaller cost than from an Australian uni. Groups of students doing such a degree program can form local social groups and even hire tutors, if they felt the need. The On-campus experience in Australia had better improve quickly otherwise local degree programs in some disciplines will go the same way as textbooks – be provided by the US.
