Cap removal hits UWS economics courses

The University of Western Sydney has backed away from plans to dump all economics study, promising that an introductory course to economics as well as the honours program will remain. But critics say the first-year economics course consisting of eight semester units is not sufficient to maintain a “quality input” into an honours program, and that a number of jobs are still at risk.
