Cuts impact asteroid spotter

An Australian astronomer who detects asteroids heading our way has lost his project funding. 

World-renowned astronomer Rob McNaught, who has discovered more than 400 comets and asteroids, may have to desert his watch over Southern Hemisphere skies.
