Australia’s academic pay behind UK, India and the US

Australia ranks eight in the academic salary league which was put together as part of a global survey of higher education pay. The survey shows the salaries are no longer sufficient to attract the brightest and best into the sector, according to the co-author Philip Altbach, director of the Center for International Higher Education at Boston College.
