Angela Magarry has been appointed executive director of The Council for the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CHASS). Magarry has a strong background in advocacy, policy and government relations with senior level experience in government, and non-government sectors. For the past five years she has been Director, Policy and Analysis for Universities Australia managing policy development in relation to teaching, research and international education dimensions for higher education. She took on the job with CHASS at the end of January. The Council is holding its first HASS on the Hill summit since Magarry’s appointment in Canberra this week.
