James Cook appoints new head of law and business faculty

Professor Robyn McGuiggan has been appointed head of James Cook University’s faculty of law, business and creative arts. Born and raised in Grafton, NSW, McGuiggan has completed a bachelor of science with honours in pharmacology at the University of Sydney (1980), a master of commerce (marketing) at the University of NSW (1986) and a PhD at the Graduate School of Management, Macquarie University (1997).
Previous positions held included head of department of marketing at Insearch, visiting professor at the University of International Business and Economics (Beijing), adjunct professor at Macquarie University, lecturer and senior lecturer at the University of Technology, Sydney.
She is a member of the CEO Circle; a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors; a member of Universities Australia Executive Women; member of the University of NSW Marketing Graduates Association; and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Marketing Academy.
