Former MP appointed to University of Canberra Council

A former federal MP for Canberra, Annette Ellis, has been appointed to the University of Canberra Council. She held the former shadow portfolios of ageing and disabilities. Ellis, whose appointment is for a three-year term, will replace John Mackay on the council. Mackay will take up the position of chancellor, University of Canberra. The University Council consists of 15 members and must include university, staff, student, community and business representatives.
