National VET award for Clayton

Victoria University’s Berwyn Clayton has been named VET Researcher of the Year by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research. Clayton is director of the Work-based Education Research Centre at VU. She previously headed the Centre Undertaking Research in Vocational Education (CURVE) at Canberra Institute of Technology. Clayton was a founding member of the Australian Vocational Education and Training Research Association and its president from 2000 to 2004. NCVER chair Dr Peter Shergold said VET practitioners and policy-makers had benefited from Clayton’s work for a quarter of a century.
