New chair of Research Australia

Dr Christine Bennett has been appointed chairman of Research Australia. Chief medical officer and director health care leadership with Bupa Australia, Bennett has been associated with Research Australia over many years. Firstly as CEO between 2003 and 2006, as a director between 2006 and 2008, and through her reappointment to the board in November 2009. She is also the former chairman of the Health and Hospital Reform Commission.
