Swinburne appoints pro vice-chancellor (research)

Professor Matthew Bailes has been appointed to the new position of pro vice-chancellor research at Swinburne University. Bailes began at Swinburne in 1998 as a senior research fellow and is currently the associate dean (research) of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies and the director of the Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing. In addition to the new position, he will retain a high level of research activity within the centre.
