Stevens to chair CRC committee

Former senior Commonwealth public servant, Neville Stevens has been appointed chair of the Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) committee. Stevens is chair of NICTA and ac3. He worked in the Australian Public Service for 30 years, including five years as deputy scretary of the Department of Industry, Technology and Commerce; three years as secretary or the Department of Industry, Technology and Regional Development; and eight years as Secretary of the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts. Stevens, who succeeds Dr Peter Jonson, took up his five-year term from 18 July.
