Thomas receives international leadership award

University of the Sunshine Coast’s vice-chancellor Professor Paul Thomas has received the Asia-Pacific chief executive leadership award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. The first Australian vice-chancellor to receive such an award, he was recognised for his pioneering leadership and for developing a culture of philanthropy through exemplary regional engagement. Thomas led the development of the University of the Sunshine Coast in 1994 and has been its vice-chancellor since 1996 when its first students enrolled.
