Stop at the red pen

Teachers in Queensland are being told they are at risk of emotionally abusing their students if they use red pen to mark their students’ work. A Queensland education department document also suggests students be given bean bags to reduce stress, organise “mind dumps” to clear their thoughts and have “steam time” – or one-on-one chats with teachers each week.
