Cox named engineer of the year

Associate Professor Ron Cox from UNSW has collected the Sir John Holland Award for Civil Engineer of the Year 2008. Cox is director of the Water Research Laboratory, one of the largest water and coastal research facilities in Australia. The judging panel recongnised his commitment to the laboratory, his engineering excellence, the number of papers he has written or co-written, as a teacher, mentor and leader in the coastal and water industries in Australia and internationally.
