Woodland receives 2008 distinguished fellow award

Professor Alan Woodland, an ARC professorial fellow at the Australian School of Business, has received the 2008 Distinguished Fellow Award from the Economic Society of Australia. The award recognises exceptional Australian economists for their contribution to the development of economics as a discipline. Woodland is internationally recognised for his research contribution in applied econometrics, international trade theory and policy, and pensions and superannuation. He is a fellow of the Econometric Society and has served on the executive committee of the International Economics Association and the councils of the International Economics Association and the Econometric Society.
