2016 marks the anniversary of an organisation that has been aiding and abetting the good leadership and management of tertiary institutions for 40 years, the Association for Tertiary Education Management (ATEM), which first came to the mind of Maurie Blanc, secretary of the then Caulfield Institute of Technology in Melbourne.
