  1. Holmes Institute’s experience with TEQSA has been a positive one heretofore.
    The regulatory burden has not exceeded 2% of gross income and that is a reasonable price to pay to ensure the sector’s reputation abroad is not damaged by poor operators.
    I recall the damage done by one single small goods provider when sawdust and viruses damaged not only the health of consumers but also the reputation of the whole Australian food industry. I was at Monash Malaysia at that time and saw the damage clearly. The HE Industry must do everything in its power to avoid the possibility of such damage.
