Permanent job hope draws Aus researchers to UK scheme
There is strong interest from Australian researchers in UK fellowships which come with a virtual guarantee of a permanent academic position. The University of Birmingham received nearly 1,400 applications from around the world when it advertised 50 Research Fellowships with a promise of a full time academic post after five years.
