ATEC gets more commissioners, focus on research

Senators voted down a Greens amendment to allow ATEC to provide advice on how much students should pay for university.

The Australian Tertiary Education Commission (ATEC) will have five commissioners, advise on research, and produce reports without ministerial approval, after legislation passed the Senate on Monday night.
