  1. Students will not stay in STEM classes when there are no jobs at the end of their studies and they see that many University staff are on short-term contracts. The lack of government funding for scientific research and the pressure to commercialise all science doesn’t offer an attractive career path

  2. Your points 1-5 are excellent points about students starting at University in any subject. Especially the one about the “theme park” O-week – always a complete waste of money and time.
    They should be taken up across the field.
