What a load of rubbish!
Tell me which student would say, yes i would like to pay an extra $25K for a degree.
I question the validity and worth of any such so called “research”.
It is simply a way to try and sell the unpopular reform, which would only benefit the rich and create more inequality in this country.
Say No to De-regulation!
JK
What rubbish. why would I pay an extra 25K when I can get it without paying that? As JK says, show me one student who is silly enough to say they are prepared to pay more.
As for “…every institution must understand what the market expects of them and cater to student expectations”. What does Tim Renowden think universities are concerned with now? Does he really think Universities are unaware that students expect a job from their degree? Does he think that students aren’t already selective about where they get their degree? NEWSFLASH: students expect a job from their degree and if they pay more money that will make them want one…err…even MORE!
Prospective students are not stupid and already realise the value of a degree. Universities also, somewhere along the line, put two and two together and realised degrees and careers are related. That’s why each degree has a name. That’s why they have WHOLE departments related to improving graduate outcomes.
