Planning post at Bond

Ken Richardson has been appointed to newly created role of executive director – people, planning and strategy at Bond University. Richardson brings to the role more than 15 years’ experience in the Australian higher education sector. He joins Bond from the University of Queensland, where he has been director of planning for the past four years with responsibility for strategic and operational planning. Having previously worked in research management for UQ, in 2008 he sat on the Indicator Development Group for the federal government’s Excellence in Research for Australia assessment exercise. “In Australia, we are increasingly seeing calls for a more diverse sector where a greater range of institutions and educational opportunities will provide more possibilities for more people,” Richardson said. “Bond is uniquely positioned to respond to these challenges by building on its already strong reputation for delivering an excellent learning experience that is student focused and industry relevant.”
